Australian Airlines was an Australian economy international airline, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Qantas, servicing Australia and Asia. Formed in 2001 and started operations in October 2002, it ceased operations under its own livery in June 2006, continuing to operate with a wet-lease agreement with Qantas.
Australian Airlines ceased to exist on  June 30, 2006, with the airline’s Boeing 767-300s and crew moved to Qantas.
