Founded in 1983, Dapol originally entered the OO gauge model railway market but decided to withdraw from the UK s OO gauge scene on 2000. Two years later the company entered the N gauge market by launching its 14xx tank engine. The company has since re-entered the OO gauge and O gauge markets.
